Dhipaya Insurance Company Limited was founded on November 9, 1951 by H.E. Field Marshal Sarit Dhanarajata with a registered capital of two million baht.
With the Ministry of Finance as major shareholder (holding 55.6%), the Company was a state enterprise under the Ministry of Finance.
Dhipaya was registered as a public limited company at the Commercial Registration Department, Ministry of Commerce, and was renamed Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited. This became effective on October 18, 1995. Its major shareholders then included the Ministry of Finance, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, the Government Savings Bank and the Petroleum Authority of Thailand.
Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited., or TIP, was registered at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on July 24, 1996.
Dhipaya Group Holdings Public Company Limited., or TIPH, was incorporated on July 31, 2020 in a form of public company limited to operate as a holding company.
Dhipaya Group Holdings Plc., or TIPH, which started trading on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in place of the shares of Dhipaya Insurance or TIP, which became a core subsidiary of the insurance business group under TIPH.
Establishment of TIP ISB Co., Ltd. (“TIP ISB”) for investment in insurance supported businesses on November 15, 2021.
Establishment of TIP IB Co., Ltd. (“TIP IB”) for the purpose of investment and holding shares in insurance companies on May 11, 2022.
TIP ISB acquired the issued and paid-up ordinary shares of Amity Insurance Broker Co., Ltd. (“Amity”) where engage in the non-life insurance agent and brokerage business, to provide insurance supporting services, and related services on May 11, 2022.
TIP ISB acquired the issued and paid-up ordinary shares of DP Survey & Law Co., Ltd. (“DP Survey”), to engage in the loss survey assessment business in the non-life insurance business, car inspection before taking out insurance, and provide insurance supporting services on May 31, 2022.
Establishment of TIP Exponential Co., Ltd. (“TIPXX”) for investment in other businesses on June 27, 2022.
TIP XX invested with the Government Savings Bank and Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, to establish Mee Tee Mee Ngern Co., Ltd. aiming to provide land loan and land consignment business on July 12, 2022.
TIP IB acquired the issued and paid-up ordinary shares of Erawan Insurance Public Company Limited on October 4, 2022, which is now renamed to insurverse Public Company Limited, a fully digital insurance business on January 20, 2023.
Mee Tee Mee Ngern Co., Ltd. and the Government Savings Bank established Ngern Dee Dee Co., Ltd. for the purpose of operating an unsecured personal loan business on June 1, 2023.
TIP ISB and Berly8 Plus Public Company Limited established a joint venture company, HoriXon T8 Co., Ltd., with an aim to provide the total technology services to the Group to support the insurance and the insurance-related businesses and expand its services to other industry sectors in the future on December 12, 2024.
